APPLICATION FOR MISSION/OUTREACH - 2019:          GOD IS CALLING YOU! 

I will respond to God’s call to reach out to my brothers and sisters through the Outreach/Mission ministry at Park UMC by: 

Prayerfully consider the area(s) of mission/outreach you will participate in during the next 12 months.

Cafe/Soup Kitchen Community Meal (second Sunday each month)

   ___ I will help set up for the meal ___ I will help cook the meal

___ I will be a host for a meal ___ I will help clean up after

Caring Cooks (short term meal assistance for persons/families who are grieving, facing surgery, etc.):

___ I will administrate this ministry by keeping the active list and making calls when needed.

___ When called, I will cook a meal for someone/family in need.

Christmas Day Lunch for those in need

        ___ I will help organize this year’s meal.      ___ I will help set up for the meal.

___ I will help cook.             ___ I will help with clean up after.

Community Food Bank (once a month): ___ I will help stock/distribute food at least once.

ERT Response Team – Early Response Team (local disaster response):

            ___ I want to be trained as an ERT member.                 ___ I will assist in collecting tools/supplies.   ___ I will assist in stocking the trailer.

Giving Tree (providing support and gifts for families in the Bloomfield area in December):

            ___ I will assist with      ___ I will take a person’s card from the tree and purchase gifts for them.

Haiti Initiative (working with the Duplan Methodist School & Church)

            ___ I will be one of the workers on site in Haiti.        ___ I will help organize the trip.      

            ___ I will be a prayer/financial partner.              ___ I will help with fund raising.

Kids Corner (pre-school and before and after school ministry of Park United Methodist Church):

            ___ I would like to be a part of the Ages Together adult group that works with the children.     ___ I will be a Kids Corner volunteer.

Interfaith Hospitality Network (hosting homeless families from Essex Cty for a week, 4xs/year):

            ___ I will provide a meal for our guests.            ___ I will be an evening host.     ___ I will be an overnight host.             

___ I will assist with set up the Saturday before they arrive.

Red Bird Mission (week long summer work camp in southeastern Kentucky, August 9 - 16):

            ___ I will be one of the work campers in 2014. ___ I will help organize the trip.     

    ___ I will be a prayer/financial partner.              ___ I will help with fund raising.

Transportation Ministry (picking up persons in our community, who need a ride to worship each Sunday, as well as, other church wide events):

            ___ I will help with the organization and administration of transportation.           ___ I will drive
